ISLAMABAD: Major progress has been made in the energy sector under C-Pack, nine energy projects have been successfully completed.
The Pak-China Economic Corridor is running successfully. 5,320 MW of power generated from energy projects has been added to the national grid.
Under C-Pack, 22 projects were approved through mutual consultation between Pakistan and China. Of the energy projects, 9 are complete, 8 are nearing completion and 5 are in the planning phase.
Sahiwal, Port Qasim, and China Hub projects of 1320 MW coal have been completed. Engro Thar 660, Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park 400 MW projects have also been completed.
Under C-Pack, 8 projects of 4470 MW are nearing completion. 5 projects including Kohala, Thar, Azad Pattan are in the pipeline. The projects will meet the growing power needs of the country.
