CTD operation arrests most wanted terrorists involved in attacks on security forces

The arrested terrorist from Sukkur received training from the enemy country, from whose possession a large number of explosives was also recovered, CTD sources said.


The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in a successful operation in Sukkur, Sindh Province, arrested a terrorist belonging to the banned organization, who was involved in attacks on security forces. According to details, the CTD conducted an operation in the Kot Bungalow area near Sukkur, which resulted in the arrest of a terrorist belonging to the banned outfit, from whose possession a large number of explosives was also recovered.

According to the CTD, the arrested terrorist revealed during interrogation that he had received training from an enemy country, who confessed to being involved in the attack on the Mehran Hotel in Balochistan province.

He was also involved in the destruction of C vehicles, and also admitted to several other attacks on security forces. Earlier, a heinous act of terrorism was foiled in Balochistan as a result of timely action by law enforcement agencies

According to details, upon receiving intelligence, the Levies Quick Response Force launched an operation in Mastung area of ​​Balochistan, as a result of which a large number of arms and ammunition which were hidden in the mountains were recovered. Levies officials said that 7 RPG rocket launchers with 20 rounds were recovered during the successful operation, besides 2 LMG machine guns with 4 rounds, auto grenade launcher, 500 grenade detonators, 50 I.P. ED detonators were also recovered which were collected for use in various terrorist activities in the province.
