Unidentified gunmen shot dead two people and injured several others near five polling stations in Daska, causing panic among voters.
In Daska, unidentified persons used firearms relentlessly. The group opened fire and the situation became tense. The shooting took place at a polling station in the nearby village of Goindke. According to rescue sources, two people were killed and eight others were injured in the firing. The deceased Majid belongs to PTI while Zeeshan belongs to PML-N.
Unidentified gunmen opened fire at a polling station on Government High School Nasbat Road and fled the scene. There are bullet marks on the school wall, bullet casings were also found on the spot.

Also in Daska Kalan, unidentified persons opened fire near the polling station near Rangeela Chowk, causing panic and stampede in the area. The unidentified accused fled the scene.
Unidentified persons also opened fire in front of Daska Post Graduate College in the presence of police.
Supporters, on the other hand, maintained the tradition. PTI and PML-N workers came face to face and chanted slogans.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar has taken notice of the incident of firing in Daska by-election and demanded a report from Inspector General of Police.
He ordered immediate arrest of the accused involved in the firing incident and said that further action should be taken against the accused.
Usman Bazdar has said that violation of law will not be tolerated. The accused will be prosecuted without any discrimination.
