LAHORE: History has changed in the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), with the team batting first for the first time in the 14th match of the event embracing victory. Quetta Gladiators beat Multan Sultans
In pursuit of the 177-run target, Multan Sultans started the innings with James Venus and captain Mohammad Rizwan, both batting confidently, advancing the score, during which both the players formed a partnership of fifty runs. The first wicket of Multan Sultans fell on the total score of 63, James Venus scored 24 runs and gave the wicket to Qais Ahmed.
Shaun Masood failed to play big innings and returned to the pavilion with a score of 65 runs. Qais Ahmed’s wicket came. Riley Russo made three runs off 8 balls and caught Usman Khan, once again the wicket went to Qais Ahmed.
In the match, Multan Sultans captain Muhammad Rizwan completed the third half-century in the sixth event of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021.
Sohaib Maqsood caught Muhammad Nawaz’s easy ball. He scored 2 runs. Khushdal Shah was dismissed for 19 off 12 balls, with Mohammad Hasnain taking the wicket. Carlos Braithwaite’s innings was limited to 4.
Mohammad Rizwan’s resistance innings was ended by Zahid Mahmood, the captain of Sultans played 66 runs. Sohail Khan’s innings ended at 8. Sniper took the wicket.
Multan Sultans scored 154 runs. Quetta Gladiators won the match by 22 runs. Qais Ahmed moved three pieces. Mohammad Hasnain and Zahid Mahmood took two wickets each.

Earlier, in the 14th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6, Multan Sultans captain Muhammad Rizwan won the toss and invited rival Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed to bat.
Quetta Gladiators young openers Usman Khan and Saim Ayub started batting in a strong manner and played attractive shorts around the wicket in an aggressive manner from the beginning. A 69-run partnership was formed between the two which was ended by Imran Tahir.
Usman Khan played an aggressive inning of 81 runs on a total score of 122 and became LBW on the ball of Imran Tahir. Faf Dupleix’s turn was ended by Sohail Khan, the batsmen were bowled out for 17 off the fast bowler’s ball. Captain Sarfraz Ahmed scored 3 and was bowled by Imran Khan Sr.
Among other batsmen, Azam Khan was bowled out for 17, Ben Cutting for 10, Muhammad Nawaz for 20, and Qais Ahmed for 2. Quetta Gladiators have scored 176 runs in the allotted overs. Shahnawaz Dhani and Imran Tahir took two wickets each.
