The Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, while hearing the case of harassment of lawyers by the administration, said that the matter had become so serious that the administration was preparing an operation.
The Chief Justice said, ” All that was left was for the lawyers to come and kill me, but I said, of course, kill me, but any action is a spectacle.” I will not let it happen. ‘
Justice Athar Minallah said that the lawyers came with full readiness and also tortured the media representatives in the court premises. If the people of any political party had done this, what would the state have done to them?
Justice Athar Minallah said that he had also asked Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed that the lawyers should kill me and would not take any action which would turn the High Court into a battlefield.
He said that the court has already made it clear that action should be taken only against those lawyers who are involved in the incident and only those lawyers who are suspected should not be harassed.
During the hearing, the Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court remarked, “The Chief Justice was detained for five hours but I am not angry. During the hearing, the Secretary High Court Bar said that a Judicial Committee should be constituted on this matter, to which Justice Athar Minallah said, “You all know who did all this. There is no need for any commission for this.” ۔ ‘
Representatives of the lawyers told the court that when the name of a single lawyer comes up, the police start harassing all the lawyers with that name.
On the other hand, the Chief Commissioner Islamabad has formed a joint investigation team to investigate the matter. Representatives of police and intelligence agencies have also been included in the JIT.
The JIT includes representatives from SSP Investigation, SP City, ISI and IB.
JIT will prepare the report with the help of Islamabad High Court Bar and District Bar.
