Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has responded to a summons issued by the court in her name saying that she is a tiger in a herd of gaddars.
According to the Indian newspaper Hindustan Times, a Mumbai court had issued summons to Kangana Ranaut in a defamation suit filed by Javed Akhtar yesterday.
In response to this, the actor, who has been in controversy all the time, shared the news of the summons on his Twitter account and wrote,
In December last year, the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate had ordered the police to investigate a complaint lodged by Javed Akhtar against Kangana Ranaut.
Police submitted their report to the court on Monday, saying the allegations against Javed Akhtar could be further investigated. Following this, Magistrate RR Khan issued summons to Kangana Ranaut.
In his complaint, Kangana Ranaut, a well-known singer in the Indian film industry, had accused him of making baseless remarks about being part of a “special group” in Bollywood after the death of actor Sushant Singh.
Javed Akhtar claims that the allegations have damaged his reputation.
Kangana Ranaut has been accusing the existence of a ‘mafia’ in Bollywood that has been targeting her professionally and personally. He claims that Sushant was also the target of the same syndicate and that he was the one who killed him.
