Kuwait reduced the number of passengers by 80%

Kuwaiti authorities have decided to reduce the number of passengers by up to 80%. According to the new rules, the daily number of visitors to Kuwait will be reduced from five thousand to one thousand.
According to the Kuwaiti magazine Al-Qabas, Kuwait has started implementing the new regulations from Sunday, January 24, 2021. The ban will last until February 6. The decision to reduce the number of passengers was made to prevent the spread of the mutating coronavirus.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that two women returning home from the UK had been diagnosed with mutable corona. The virus spreads rapidly and is dangerous.
Kuwaiti authorities have exempted domestic staff and transit passengers from the decision to reduce the number of returning passengers. Domestic staff is currently arriving in Kuwait on special flights. Domestic workers are quarantined upon arrival in Kuwait.
Due to the new decision of the Kuwaiti authorities, 60,000 reservations have been canceled, while the fare for Kuwait has reached one thousand dinars, which is equivalent to 13,000 Saudi riyals.
Kuwaiti authorities have ruled that no plane can carry more than 35 passengers. The ban is intended to maintain a social distance on the plane. It has also been decided that passengers will have a corona test on arrival at Kuwait Airport. The ban does not apply to flights from Kuwait.
