ISLAMABAD: A candidate of MD NTDC, Aizaz Ahmed, has demanded 15 15,000 (approximately Rs. 2.4 million) salary in addition to MP One scale benefits.
A panel of 4 senior officers, including a candidate seeking extraordinary salary for the post of MD of National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC), a subsidiary of the Ministry of Energy, has been prepared. Ahmed asked for a ون 15,000 (approximately Rs. 2.4 million) salary plus MP1 scale benefits, with the final decision to be made by the federal cabinet.
According to sources in the Ministry of Energy, the NTDC Board of Directors advertised the post in April 2020. 47 candidates submitted applications, 19 candidates were shortlisted after scrutiny out of which 15 candidates were interviewed, Board of Directors shortlisted four candidates, one candidate to the Salary Negotiation Committee on extraordinary demand for salary. The case has been sent.
The shortlisted candidates include Aizaz Ahmad, Mujahid Pervaiz Chatha, Major General (retd) Muhammad Azeem Asif and Mujahid Islam Balla. The NTDC Board sent a summary to the Ministry of Energy (Power Division).
The negotiating committee has recommended that the required salary of the principal candidate Aizaz Ahmed is more than the market. Apart from the decision of the board, the negotiating committee also offered an annual bonus to Aizaz Ahmed in addition to the MP1 scale.
