Multan Sultans set a target of 194 runs to beat Zalmi

Karachi: In the fifth match of PSL, Multan Sultans have given a target of 194 runs to Peshawar Zalmi to win.

In the fifth match of the Pakistan Super League being played at National Stadium in Karachi, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bowl first against Multan Sultans. Chris Lin and Mohammad Rizwan started the innings for Multan but Chris Lin scored only one run. James Venus and opener Mohammad Rizwan, who came down one, played aggressively and advanced the score.

An 82-run partnership was formed between the two players after which Mohammad Rizwan returned to the pavilion with 41 runs, after which James Venus also made an aggressive 71-run partnership with Sohaib Maqsood. However, Sohaib Maqsood was dismissed for 36 runs while James Venus played an innings of 84 runs which helped Multan to score 193 runs in the allotted 20 overs.

Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan said that 2 changes have been made to the team, Sohaibullah and Mohammad Omar have been replaced by Usman Qadir and Shah Nawaz Dhani while Ravi Bopara has also made 2 changes to the team of Peshawar Zalmi. Emad Butt has been replaced by Tom Cadmore and the noble Radar Ford.

Multan Sultans team includes Mohammad Rizwan, Carlos Braithwaite, Sohaib Maqsood, Khushdal Shah, Chris Lin, Sohail Tanveer, Riley Russo, Shahid Afridi, Imran Tahir, Shaun Maqsood, Usman Qadir, and Shah Nawaz Dhani while Peshawar Zalmai’s team. I include Kamran Akmal, Imam-ul-Haq, Haider Ali, Shoaib Malik, Tom Cadmore, Wahab Riaz, Sharfane Radar Ford, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Mohammad Irfan, and Mohammad Imran.

It should be noted that Multan Sultans lost the first match to Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi lost to Lahore Qalandars.
