According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations Department (ISPR), Pakistan has successfully tested a 290-kilometer surface-to-surface ballistic Ghaznavi missile capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

Performed through annual field training exercises. The Commander Army Strategic Forces observed the experiment and appreciated the team’s performance. A team of scientists and engineers were also present. The President, the Prime Minister, and the military leadership congratulated the scientists and engineers on the successful experiment.

Expressing happiness over the successful test of Ghaznavi missile, the leadership said that scientists and engineers have played a key role in the success of the missile test.

Earlier on January 20, Pakistan had also successfully tested the Shaheen 3 missile. The surface-to-surface Shaheen 3 ballistic missile has a range of 2,750 km. The missile test tested the technical parameters of the weapon system, the missile successfully hit the target in the Arabian Sea.
