Corona’s growing cases, Pakistan Super League 6 has been postponed
KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has postponed Pakistan Super League 6 due to increasing cases of the corona.
It has been reported that a virtual meeting of Pakistan Cricket Board and franchise owners was held in which it was decided to postpone the sixth edition of the cricket festival. An official announcement has also been made in this regard. The meeting also discussed the option of sending the foreign players back home and having a league with the local players while it was also not agreed to shift the Lahore matches to Karachi on which it was decided to postpone the league indefinitely.
Earlier, the corona report of 3 more players of 2 teams came positive which was also confirmed by Pakistan Cricket Board. The affected players will remain in isolation for 10 days.
It should be noted that a total of 7 members of different teams of PSL have been affected in Corona. Earlier, Karachi Kings all-rounder Dan Christine had announced his withdrawal from the PSL. Super League 6 has played 14 matches so far. Last year’s Super League edition was also postponed due to Corona.
