RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Russian President’s Representative for Afghanistan Zameer Kabul.
According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), issues of mutual interest and regional security situation were discussed during a meeting between Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Russian President’s Representative for Afghanistan Zameer Kabul.
The Russian Special Representative praised Pakistan’s positive role in the Afghan peace process and agreed in the meeting that Pak-Russia relations would further improve in the days to come. The two sides also pledged to further enhance bilateral relations.
Progress in the Afghan peace process was also discussed in detail during the meeting. On the occasion, the Chief of Army Staff said that peace in Pakistan and Afghanistan is in the interest of the region.
