The opening match of Pakistan Super League 6 was played on Saturday between defending champions Karachi Kings and former champions Quetta Gladiators. Karachi Kings easily defeated Quetta Gladiators by seven wickets in the opening match.
Chasing the target of 122 runs, Karachi Kings achieved the target in 14 overs at a loss of three wickets. For Karachi Kings, Joe Clarke batted aggressively and scored 46 runs.
After Babar Azam scored 24 runs, Hasnain caught the wicketkeeper on the ball.
Muhammad Nabi and Colin Ingram are currently on the crease.
Babar Azam and Sharjeel Khan started the innings for Karachi Kings. Sharjeel Khan became LBW on Muhammad Hasnain’s hair after scoring only four runs.
Earlier, the entire Quetta Gladiators were bowled out for 121 in the 19th over. Thus, Quetta Gladiators have got a target of 121 runs to win the match.
Quetta Gladiators batsman Chris Gayle top-scored with 39 runs. His innings included four fours and two sixes.
Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfraz Ahmed Tom Benton started the innings. Tom Benton scored just five runs and was caught by Emad Wasim.
Captain Sarfraz Ahmed, after scoring just seven runs, caught wicketkeeper Clarke off Aamir Yameen. Azam Khan was caught after scoring 17 runs.
Ben Cutting went to the pavilion after scoring 11 runs, he was bowled by Arshad Iqbal. Salem Ayub was caught after scoring only 8 runs.
Qais Ahmed 16 while Mohammad Hasnain lost the wicket after scoring four runs.
Usman Shinwari was caught by Emad Wasim on the ball of Mohammad Amir without scoring a run. Muhammad Nawaz was run out for three runs.
