Ejaz Durrani, senior actor of Pakistan film industry and ex-husband of Queen Tarun Noorjahan, has died at the age of 86.
Ejaz Durrani, who played Ranjha in the Pakistani film industry’s everlasting film “Heer Ranjha” with actress Firdous, was ill for a long time.
Ejaz Durrani has shown the essence of acting in more than 150 films. As well as being an actor, he has also been a director and film producer.
Born in 1935 in a village on the outskirts of Jalalpur Jattan, Ijaz Durrani started his acting career in 1956 with the film Hamida. His film career spanned from 1956 to 1984.
He had his first marriage with Queen Tarun Noor Jahan and his second with actress Firdous but both marriages ended in divorce. Ijaz Durrani has three daughters Hina Durrani, Nazia Ijaz Khan, and Meena Hassan from Queen Tarun.
Ejaz Durrani’s funeral prayers will be offered in Azhar Garden Town, Lahore.
