Tabish Gohar appointed Special Assistant to the PM for Petroleum

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has appointed former chairman Electric Tabish Gohar as special assistant for petroleum.

Tabish Gohar has been notified to be given an additional charge of Special Assistant for Petroleum, according to which he will be Special Assistant for Power and Petroleum.

The Cabinet Division has issued a notification to remove Nadeem Babar from the post of Special Assistant.

Tabish Gohar was also appointed Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Energy last year but resigned in January this year. He was only a special assistant for 2 months.

Tabish Gohar served as CEO, director, and chairman of Electric for seven years, but resigned in 2015, after which he became the founder and head of his own company, Oasis, which provides consulting and support in the power and energy sector.
