Abu Dhabi: The chandeliers of Sheikh Zayed Jama Masjid in the United Arab Emirates are a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. This mosque has 7 unique, large, and magnificent chandeliers installed in the world.
Tourists who come to see the world’s largest and most beautiful mosque, the Sheikh Zayed Al-Kabeer Mosque in the UAE, cannot help but admire Islamic art by looking at these lanterns.
Interestingly, the design of the mosque’s chandeliers and carpets is so harmonious that the pieces of the chandelier look like colored drops, and visitors feel as if they could fall on the carpet at any moment. The carpet, on the other hand, gives the impression of a pool reflecting the colors of the chandelier.
There are 3 domes in the main hall of this mosque, in which there are three chandeliers of the giant temple.
According to the report, the large chandelier weighs about 12 tons, has a diameter of 10 meters, a height of 15.5 meters, while in the large hall 2 smaller chandeliers each weigh 8 tons, height 12.5 meters and diameter. 7 meters, they have 9,500 light bulbs.
Jamia Masjid official Salem Al-Suwaidi said a 45-member team was tasked with cleaning, renovating, and repairing the lanterns, which lasted for 12 hours a day for a month and a half. He said that the renovation work of the lanterns has been done in accordance with the latest international standards and the aesthetic elements of Sheikh Zayed Jama Masjid have been arranged under an integrated scientific system.
